MUSIC FOR MEDIA - GLOBAL COLLABORATIONS

In the winter of 2008, students in Mr. Graham's Grade 12 Instrumental Music class embarked on an ambitious project to collaborate with students around the world. This involved the Glenforest students writing original music for videos, short films and theatre productions of students at other schools around the world. This process included some online discussion through iearn.org, in an attempt to create truly collaborative, final artistic works.

The projects worked on for spring 2008 were:

- Buenos Aires, Argentina - Institutional Powerpoint Presentation

- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Music for Theatre - "The Enormous Crocodile"

- Toronto, Ontario - 2 Anti-Bullying Videos

Currently for Fall 2008, students are working on the following:

- Santa Clara California - Videos for Communities (Mexico, Georgia)

As well, projects are planned to begin for Spring 2009.
