ABOUT US

The music program at Glenforest features 14 classes of over 300 students in grades 9 to 12. These cover instrumental band, vocal and guitar, and focus on performance, theory, history and composition. We also offer an ESL music course. In addition to our Wind Ensemble course, we also offer many performance opportunities in extracurricular ensembles such as choirs and bands.

OUR TEACHERS

Mr. Graham

Mr. Graham is an active composer, arranger, singer and guitarist, and has been known to front a rock band or two. His instrument of study was the alto saxophone. He also coaches the Girls Basketball team in the fall.


Ms. Kiousis

Ms. Kiousis is a tech-savvy music teacher who has been with us for a year. She is filling in for Mrs. Locke this upcoming year again.


Mrs. Locke

Mrs. Locke is a proud player of the french horn. She recently went on a 400 day trip around the world. Ask her about it! On second thought, that may take a while!
Mrs. Locke is also enjoying time off with her new baby, so we wish her luck.


Mrs. Pierson

Mrs. Pierson owns a farm! Her instrument of study was the flute.
